A Sony confirmou que o seu grande exclusivo, God of War 3, não tem cenas em CG. Isto significa, que todas as cenas presentes em God of War 3 serão in-game, ou seja, God of War 3 irá recorrer a real-time graphics nas ditas cinematics.
Para quem não sabe, a computação gráfica (CG) é a área destinada à criação de imagens — em forma de representação de dados e informação, ou em forma de recriação do mundo real. Ela pode possuir uma infinidade de aplicações para diversas áreas, desde a própria informática, ao produzir interfaces gráficas para animações e jogos entre outras.
Bruno Velazquez postou recentemente no seu blog o seguinte:
“Here it is finally, the trailer that you guys have been waiting for. Everything you see is 100% in-game. All camera features, including motion blur, run real-time in the cinematics and in-game. For this game we decided to try and blend in the cinematic sequences with the in-game sequences, so all models and assets are used for cinematics and for in-game.”
“The Kratos that you will control will be the same you see in extreme close ups, no smoke and mirrors, no model switching. There is no CG cutscenes like the ones in previous GOW games. What you see in cinematics is what you get in-game, no difference. We didn’t want to have any jarring changes in detail between gameplay and story.”
Isto quer dizer que o Kratos super detalhado que vemos nos vídeos e em grandes close-ups é o mesmo Kratos que controlamos em God of War 3. Bruno Valazquez garante que não existe qualquer tipo de “truque” e afirma que o que se tem visto ultimamente é apenas e só, real-time graphics.
